A: A Ride For The Wounded was founded January 16, 2012. With the first event being held July 14th 2012.

Q: What is A Ride For The Wounded?

A: A Ride For The Wounded is an annual benefit motorcycle ride that raises money to help Military Charities.

Q: How does this event help?

A: The ride helps bring awareness and raises fund for our men and women in our armed forces.

Q: What charities has A Ride For The Wounded helped?

A: Every year A Ride For The Wounded picks a new charity to help. In 2012 we raised money for The Wounded Warrior Project. In 2013 we raised money for MWR/Survivor Outreach Services Fort Leavenworth. In 2014 we raised money for Wreaths Across America Ft. Leavenworth and also in 2014 we raised money for the Stephen Traglio Brain Cancer Fund. In October A Ride For The Wounded participated in the Christmas In October Project and helped rehab a Veterans home. In 2015 we raised money for Honor Flight K.C. and sent a full flight of Veterans to Washington D.C. In 2016 we raised money for the AMVETS 181 Welcome Home Post. We raised enough money to buy 3 Action Track Chairs to help Veterans go hunting. 2017 We road for Team Fidelis and The Foundation Of Exceptional Warriors. We helped to fund hunting trips and a trailer. 2018 Brings us to a whole new level. We will be holding 5 rides this and moving into new states.

Q: What charity are we riding for this year?

A: This year we have chosen to do 5 rides and as of now we only have 3 of them in place. We have the ride for Alex Sims. He is a young man that has a rare disease call IPEX only 200 cases in the world. The next one is for a Veteran in Nashville, Tennessee named Sarah. Sarah was raising awareness of the 22 A Day and was riding across the country and was hit in Colorado. The 3rd one is Wreaths Across America Ft. Leavenworth. They are the group that lays the wreaths at the Ft. Leavenworth Cemetary.

Q: Where are the events held?

A: We will be starting at several different locations this year depending on the ride. Please check when you register which date and location you are signed up for.

Q: How long is the ride?

A: All rides are about 100 miles.

Q: How can I register?

A: Online at www.arideforthewounded.org and we will be attending events and will update as they come available. 

Q: How much is registration?

A: Pre-registration is $40.00 per bike and includes 1 t-shirt. Pre-registration ends on the week before the ride on Saturday.

We will have day of registrations and they will be $45.00 but you do not receive the t-shirt.

Q: Will t-shirts be for sale the day of the event?

A: Yes, we will have t-shirts for sale the day of the event and they will be $16.00 or $18.00 each depending on size and style of shirt.
